I’ve never seen this much jam in a restaurant’s breakfast. Breakfast is located at ATAS Restaurant, which is at Mezzanine Level. If your room doesn’t include breakfast, the walk-in price is quite steep at RM130 per person. Beside the bed, there are 2 side tables on each side, with night lamp, power plug, USB charging points, as well as switches. The bedsheet is said to be a sumptuous 330-thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen.
The RuMa Special – Weekends
Like the bell-crew, the reception staff were warm and welcoming. A great feature of The Ruma is its 24-hour check-in/check-out service, i.e. you can check-in and check-out any time you wish. I imagine this would be especially handy for travellers with a late-night flight – you can keep your room until you leave for the airport in the evening. The SEVEN lobby bar and lounge is a quiet bar located near the entrance of the hotel, next to the spiral staircase.
Pop a coffee capsule into the Nespresso machine or forage through the sodas and snacks in the complimentary minibar. Work through meals by ordering breakfast or a club sandwich from the in-room menu — service is remarkably swift and you enjoy a 25% discount on food items under the work package. If you find yourself backed into a corner, consider clearing the mind’s cobwebs with the punishing pummel of a rain shower or an indulgent soak in the bathtub.
Check-In
My Mum and I were in total agreement about the top-notch service, the stunning design and the terrific food at Atas Restaurant. If you’re visiting Kuala Lumpur and you’re looking for a luxurious yet homely experience at a five-star hotel, check out The Ruma and Residences. The check-in process began with a refreshing traditional Malaysian drink with a modern twist.
So, here’s my quest to find out if I indeed feel like home at The RuMa Hotel. Opened in 2018, The RuMa Hotel and Residences is located right within the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Pavilion mall is just 600m (9-min) walk away and KLCC aka the Twin Towers is just 800m away from the hotel. With much of the workforce avoiding clustering in offices and home not always the most conducive environment to dig deep and deliver, the search is on for new places to which to lug laptops.
Transform Living In Your Home A Whole New Experience
The connection is unwavering from any corner and allows for unlimited device links while well-placed plug points all around the room enable you to move around freely with a laptop. HDMI connectivity and mirroring of both iOS and Android devices onto the TV allow for large-screen displays of downloads or video conferencing (or Netflix — guilty). We had the choice of sitting at the bar/lounge or in the Librari . The bartender was an expert cocktail maker and entertained us with stories and information about the hotel and the KLCC district.
Well, it’s alright, we’ll take it; the upgrade to Corner Studio is already a great surprise. When entering carpark, do not scan your Touch ‘N Go. If you’re traveling by public transport, the nearest train station to the hotel is Raja Chulan Monorail Station . If you’re coming from KL Sentral, you can take the monorail for 6 stops and alight at Raja Chulan Station.
This floor houses an infinity pool and deck, a bar/lounge, a gym and the Ur Spa. It’s a beautiful, airy space and I especially loved the cocoon-like furniture. The gym is well-equipped but the pool is quite small. The desk and city view. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous, featuring beautiful stand-alone copper sinks and a separate bath/shower corner with a city view.
The beautiful bathroom, with its copper sinks and bonsai tree.Another feature of The Ruma is the complimentary mini-bar in every room which is replenished daily. There was a selection of soft drinks, juices (floral/herbal/fruity), beer, mineral water and snacks. The Ruma Hotel and Residences is a new addition to the five-star hotel scene in Kuala Lumpur. Despite some minor hits and misses, overall, staying at RuMa was a great experience for me and my family.
On one side of the bathroom, you’ll find the toilet cubicle . Meanwhile, on the other side, you’ll find the shower room which is fitted with a bath and a separate rainforest shower. Seriously, all hotels should provide free minibar because the items are not expensive to begin with, and hotels can easily cover the cost from the room price. In the fridge, there are 2 bottles of RuMa mineral water, a normal Coke, a Zero Coke, F&N Ginger Ale, F&N Chrysanthemum, Carlsberg and Apple Juice. First, on the countertop, there’s a basic Nespresso machine, 6 bottles of mineral water (pretty generous!), a set of kettle and two cups, as well as two jars of local snacks.
Check-in was swift and we were led to our Deluxe Twin room on the eighth floor. The room was spacious, and like the lobby, the design was a blend of traditional Malaysian and contemporary influences. As RuMa Hotel is located near city center, it’s very easy to find restaurants, convenient stores and shopping malls. The nearest restaurant to RuMa Hotel is Hakka Restaurant, which is an open-air restaurant. If you intend to eat here, do go there early, like 6pm. When you step into the bathroom, you’ll immediately notice twin basin vanity.
Our system can send alerts right to your smartphone and the false alarm filter makes sure alarms aren’t triggered by children or pets. With a touch of a button our whole smart home solution security system is at your fingers. Links all your multimedia devices to give you access to everything with one app. Whether you’re working or traveling, you don’t have time to worry about what’s happening at home.
Keep the curtains open if the surrounding skyscrapers exhilarate you; or pull down the black-out blinds so all else falls away except the tasks at hand. The RuMa's package is now available from 9am to 6pm at RM248. You can now enjoy RM50 dining credit instead of 25% discount on food items. You’ll be able to see everything happening at home from wherever you are.
